to find:-

solution:-

By mirror formula we get

 \frac{1}{f}  =  \frac{1}{v}   +  \frac{1}{u}

i.e.

 \frac{1}{1.5}  =  \frac{1}{v}  +  \frac{1}{ - 5}

so,

 \frac{10}{15}  =  \frac{1}{v}  -  \frac{1}{5}

 \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{10}{15}  -  \frac{1}{5}

i.e.

 \frac{1}{v}  =  \frac{10 - 3}{15}

i.e.

v =  \frac{15}{7}

i.e.

v = 2.14(approx.)
