1/f = 1/u + 1/v
1/f - 1/u = 1/v
1/6 - (-1)/ 12 = 1/v
1/6 + 1/12 = 1/v
2 + 1/12 = 1/v
3/12 = 1/v, 1/4 = 1/v
v = 4m
m = -v/u = -4/-12 = 1/3
The image is virtual and erect as magnification is less than 1 and is positive.
