A cooler at a picnic contains 12-ounce cans and 16-ounce bottles of both lemonade and apple juice. The cooler contains:

12-ounce cans of lemonade: 4 cans
12-ounce cans of apple juice: 5 cans
16-ounce lemonade bottles: 3 bottles
16-ounce apple juice: 6 bottles

Adam was very thirsty, so he randomly grabbed a 16-ounce bottle from the cooler. What is the probability that his randomly selected bottle will be apple juice?

Step-by-step explanation:

16 ounce bottles are lemonade 3 and apple 6.

Adding them we get 9.

So he picked 1 bottle.

The probability will be 1/9
