and thickness 2 mm. The density of copper is
9 g/cm' and the price of copper is $150 per
tonne. What is the cost of the copper in a
length of 5 m of this pipe?

Answer:

Density=mass/volume

Mass=volume*density

Mass=[pi*{Radius1^2 -Radius2 ^2}*length]*Density

Radius1=outer radius, radius2=inner radius

Mass=3.14*{9^2 - 7^2}*5000*9/1000

Mass=3.14{81 - 49}*5000*9/1000

Mass=4521.600 grammes

Mass=4.5216 kg

Mass=4.5216/1000 tonne

Price of copper =Weight of 5 mtr pipe in ton*price/ton

Price of copper[4.5216/1000] *150

Price of copper=0.67824 $
