We can find the volume of an irregular piece of cork in the following way -

• The mathematical elaboration of the density of an object is :

Density = Mass/Volume

• Now,we can calculate the mass the cork with any kind of mass measuring devices.

• And,we have to calculate the volume the cork also,which we can calculate by the water displacement method of Archimedes.

• Now,when we finally get the value of the mass and volume,we can find the density of the object by the above mentioned mathematical formula. (In the SI unit of kg/m²)
