GiveN:

  • Volume of the cork = 50 cm³
  • Density of the cork = 0.25 g/cm³

To FinD:

  • Mass of the cork?

Step-by-step Explanation:

Density is the mass per unit volume. Density is hence directly proportional to mass and inversely proportional to volume of the substance.

  • D = m / V

Plugging the given values to find the mass:

↝ D = m / V

↝ 0.25 g/cm³ = m / 50 cm³

↝ m = 0.25 g/cm³ × 50 cm³

↝ m = 12.5 g

Hence,

  • The mass of the cork is 12.5 g

Note!!

  • Unit conversion is not mentioned in the question. If required, you can convert the units to the desired units.

Answer:

Given :-

  • A cork has a volume of 50 cubic cm.
  • The density of the cork is 0.25 g/cm³ .

To Find :-

  • What is the mass of the cork.

Formula Used :-

\boxed{\bold{\large{Density\: =\: \dfrac{Mass}{Volume}}}}

Solution :-

Volume (V) = 50 cubic cm

Density (D) = 0.25 g/cm³

According to the question by using the formula we get,

0.25 = \dfrac{m}{50}

m = 50 × 0.25

mass = 12.5 g

\therefore The mass of the cork is 12.5 g .
