A cork piece floats on water but an iron nail sinks in water. why?

because the density of an iron nail is way greater than a wooden cork so cork will float whearas nail will sink.

.According to float and sink conditions if an object has more density than water it will sink and if it has less density it will float. So iron nail sinks as it had less density while cork floats as it had more density than water.
