Answer:

Here u=10

a=5

S=30

Using formula:

S=ut +1/2at²

30=10*t+1/2*5*t²

30=10t+1/2*5t²

(Now multiplying each term by 2)

30*2=10*2t+1/2*2*5t²

60=20t+5t²

5t²+20t-60

Now dividing each term by 5

t²+4t-12=0

Now solving the quadriatic equation

t²+6t-2t-12=0

t(t+6)-2(t+6) =0

(t+6) (t-2) =0

t=-6 or t=2

Since time can't be negative

Therefore t=2seconds
