on rationalising (multiplying above and below in RHS with (1+sinx)) above questions we get

(y + 1)/(y -1) = (1+sinx )/cosx

using corponendo and divideando

y = (1+ sinx + cosx ) / (1+ sinx - cosx )

we know that

sinx + cosx = sqrt2( sinx/sqrt2 + cosx/sqrt2)

1/sqrt 2= sinπ/4 = cosπ/4

so

sin(π/4 + x)

below

cos(π/4 + x)= sinx/sqrt2 - cosx/sqrt2

sqrt2(sinx/sqrt2 - cosx/sqrt2)= sinx - cosx

y = (1+ sqrt2sin(π/4 + x))/(1+sqrt2 cos(π/4 + x)
