A Courtyard 15m long and 10m broad to be paved with bricks of length 25 cm and breath 12 cm .find the number of bricks required.

Answer: 150 bricks

Given - length= 15m

Breadth= 10m

Area of rectangle = l x b

15 x 10

= 150sq.m

150 x 100 = 15000sq.cm

Length of brick = 25cm

Breadth of brick = 12cm

Area of brick = l x b

= 25 x 12

= 300sq.cm

No. Of bricks req.

= area of courtyard / area of bricks

= 15000 / 300

= 150

Therefore 150 bricks will be required.
