  • A cow and a goat are running at the same speed.

  • Which one of them has more kinetic energy than the other.

ᴀɴsᴡᴇʀ:

When a cow and a goat are running at same speed , say with a velocity v . Now we know that cow is much heavier than goat , which means mass of cow is greater than the mass of goat . Let mass of cow be M and mass of goat be m.

We know that Kinetic energy is equal to half of product of mass and square of velocity , i.e. ½ mv².

As earlier mentioned ,

\sf{\implies M > m }

\sf{\implies \dfrac{1}{2}M > \dfrac{1}{2} m}

\sf{\implies \dfrac{1}{2}M \times v^2 > \dfrac{1}{2} m\times v^2}

\bf{\red{\leadsto KE _{cow} > KE _{goat}}}

Hence the cow has more Kinetic energy than goat.
