A cow is tied at a point e with a ope of 4 m. E and F are the midpoints of Ad and Gh respectively. Find the amount of area that can be grazed by a cow in m2

Given-ABCD is a rectangular field of dimensions 20m×16m.

A cow tied by a rope BP=BQ=14m at B, is grazing.

Here the cow grazes an area A = Area of Sector with central angle 90o and radius 14m.

∴A=360oθ×π×r2 where  θ= Central Angle =90o,

and

r= radius of the sector=14m.

∴A=360o90o×722×142=154m2.
