A cow is tied to a pole, fixed at the midpoint of a side of a square field of dimensions 50 m × 40 m, by means of 14 m long rope. Find the area that the cow can graze.

⛲So the area of the whole field is 10×10 sq m =100sqm

⛲The point from where the cow starts grazing is the corner of the square

⛲It eats in a quarter area.

⛲The area of a quarter of a circle from that corner .

⛲The the area it grazed =1/4 ×pi× r×r

1/4×22/7×7×7 sq m

=38.5 sq m

so. the remaining area= 100-38.5sq m=

answer is 61.5 sq m
