A cow is tied with a rope of length 14m a one corner of a
rectangular field of dimensions 20m x 15m. find the area of the field in
which the cow cannot graze.

Answer 1

Area of rectangular field = 15×20 = 300 sq m
Area of a quadrant which will be grazed by cow: πr24 =227×142×14 = 154 sqm
Area left ungrazed = 300 − 154 = 146 m2

area of field=15*20=300m{l*b}
so area that cow grazed=154m{ 300-14*15=90 SO 73 left by 14+3=17 therefore 90-                                                   17=73}
now area left = 146m abs
