Let A & B represent the points of start and stop respectively, then we need to find the length of AB. Now the length of AB in circular path is the d = distance travelled, that is simply half of the circumference of the circle or:

d = 1/2 pi * d = pi * r = 5 pi m ≈ 15.71 m

The D = Displacement however is the direct path from A to B which is simply the diameter of the circle, thus:

D = 2*r = 10 m
