Answer:

Therefore, the work done by the crane is obtained as W=19600J=19.6kJ. So the correct option is B. Note: Here the force acting on the car is the tension in the arm of the crane and the displacement of the car is the vertical height to which the car is raised.

Given:-

Car mass - 500 kg

Height - 4 m

To Find:-

Work Done by Crane

Explanation:-

To lift the car,  the crane has to do work against the force of gravity.

∴ Force required to lift car is F = mg

Force = mass × gravity

mass is given and gravity is 9.8 ( gravitational constant )

= 500 × 9.8 N

= 500 × \frac{98}{10}

one zero of  500 get cancels with one zero of 10

= 50 × 98

= 4900 N

∴ Work done, W = F × S

where S is Displacement = Vertical height = 4m

Work Done = 4900 × 4 J

= 19600 J

converting into Kj we get

= \frac{19600}{1000}

= 19.6 Kj

∴ Work Done By Crane is 19.6 Kj

Hope It Helps You ✌
