Time to cover the distance = 1.8 s

S = ut+0.5at²

S = 0.5at²

100 = 0.5at²

100/0.5t² = a

= 100/(0.5*1.8*1.8) = a

= 100/1.62 m/s² = a

= 61.72 m/s² = a

F = ma

= 0.08*61.72 N

= 4.93 N
