A cricket ball of mass 150.0 g is moving with a velocity of 12.0 ms - 1 and is hit by a bat so that the ball is turned back with a velocity of 20.0 ms - 1 . The force of the blow acts for 0.01 s . Find the average force exerted on the ball by the bat .​

= 0.15 kg

Initial Velocity (u) = 12 m/s

Final Velocity (v) = 20 m/s

Time (t) = 0.01 s

Acceleration (a) = (v-u)/t

= (20-12)/0.01 m/s²

= 800 m/s²

Average Force = Mass*Acceleration

= 0.15*800 N

= 120 N
