Given:

Mass of cricket ball = 250g

Speed of ball = 144km/hr

Distance travelled by ball= 90m

Mass of bat = 3.5kg

To Find:- Speed of bat=?

Solution:-

1) In case of the ball

Given mass of the ball

= 250 g

Speed of the ball

= 144km/hr

= 144×1000/66×60

= 90 m/s

Impact time = 0.1 sec

2) As we know the formula,

Speed = Distance/Time

Distance = 90×0.1 = 9m

3) In case of the Bat,

Mass of the bat = 3.5kg

Distance = 90m

= 90×1000/1000

= 0.9 m/s

Time = 3 sec

- Speed = 0.9/3

= 3m/s

Thus the speed of the bat is 3m/s.
