A cricket ball of mass 50g is moving with a velocity of 20m/s and is hit by a bat, so that the ball is turned back with a velocity of 30m/s. Find the change in momentum of the ball.

Change in momentum = Final - Initial

Final momentum is = 0.05kg × 30 = 3

Initial momentum is = 0.05kg × 20 = 1

So Change in momentum = 3-1 = 2
