Given: g =-10m/s^2( thrown upwards against gravity so taken negative)

Max height reached(h)= 5m

Final velocity at max height(v) =0

To find: (1) initial velo(u) =?

(2) time taken to reach max height(t)=?

We know, v^2-u^2=2gh

Or, 0-u^2=2(-10)5

Or,u^2=100

Therefore u=10m/sec

Now,v=u-gt

0=10-10t

Or,10t=10

Therefore t=1sec
