(A) Both the parts will have the same mass.

Explanation:

The center of mass of a body is the unique point which represents the mean position of the matter in a body or system.

It is a imaginary point to which a force may be applied to cause a linear acceleration without any angular acceleration..

It is also defined as a point at which the torques from the mass elements of an object sum to zero.

For 2 masses  COM is calculated as

x_{com} = \frac{x_{1}m_{1} +x_{2}  m_{2}  }{m_{1}+m_{2}  }

       Since the cricket bat is cut in two parts at the location of Center of mass , both the parts will have the same mass otherwise if we join both the parts back again the center of mass will not be the same.

Hence  both the masses have to be equal.
