GIVEN:

total no.of ball faced=54

no.of boundaries hit=6

TO FIND:

Probability when she does not hit any boundarie

SOLUTION:

lets P be the probability when the boundaries is not been hit

then,

P=total no.of ball faced - no.of boundaries hit/no.of ball faced

P=54-6/54

P=48/54

P=8/9

therefore the probability of not hitting a boundary is 8/9

Accroding to the question,

  • Total number of balls = 30

  • Numbers of baundary = 6

So, number of times batswoman didn't hid the boundary = (30-6)=24

Probability she didn't hit a boundary = 24/30=4/5
