Given: A cricket player tosses the cricket ball 10 m and catch at same position

To Find :  the total displacement of ball

Solution:

Displacement = Final position - Initial position

Displacement is always less than or equal to Distance

Displacement can not be greater than distance

As player catches the ball at the same position

Hence Final position  and  Initial position are same

so Final position - Initial position = 0

=> Displacement =  0

Hence the total displacement of ball = 0

Distance is always +ve  so Distance would be 10 + 10 = 20 m

the total displacement of ball = 0
