Solution : New average is 48 runs.

Let the average be x.

Sum of scores of innings be 10x.

In eleventh innings he scored 108 runs.

So, Sum of scores after 11 innings = 10x + 108 .

Average = 10 x + 108 / 11.

According to the question, Average is increased by 6 .

x + 6 = 10x + 108 / 11

11 ( x + 6 ) = 10 x + 108

11x + 66 = 10x + 108

11x - 10x = 108 - 66

x = 42

So, New average = x + 6 = 42 + 6 = 48 .

Therefore, His new average is 48 runs.
