Total nitrogen required by 10 hectares = 10 x 20 = 200 kg.

Ca(NO3)2 N2

        or

164 parts of Ca(NO3)2 gives 28 gm of N2

Now 28 parts of N2, 164 parts of Ca(NO3)2

200 parts of N2 ,(164 x 200) / 28

= 1171.4 kgs
