The phenotype of the tall parents or the F¹ generation is Tt and Tt

Explanation:

  • If the the phenotype of plant 1 is Tt and the phenotype of second plant is also Tt.

  • The alleles are T, t, T, t. Here T is dominant and t is recessive.

  • Now, if a cross is made then the genotype of F² generation will be TT, Tt, Tt and tt.

  • As you can see three plants from F² generation will be tall and one would be short.

  • Therefore we can conclude that the genotype of the two tall plants was Tt and Tt.
