A cross section of a T-beam shown below is subjected to a
constant shear force of 4000 N. Assume the beam acts as a
linear elastic material. Solve for the transverse shear stress
100 mm from the bottom of the beam’s cross section.
Also, Solve for the maximum transverse shear stress and its
location.
