Given:-

  • Displacement ,s = 100

  • Time taken ,t = 5min

To Find:-

  • Velocity of the crow ,v .

Solution:-

Firstly we convert the unit here

1 min = 60s

∴ 5min = 5×60 = 300s

As we know that Velocity is defined as the displacement per unit time.

velocity = Displacement/time

v = s/t

Substitute the value we get

→ v = 100/300

→ v = 1/3

→ v = 0.33m/s

The velocity of the crow is 0.33m/s.

Additional Information!!

Some equation of motion are

• v = u +at

• s = ut +1/2at².

• v² = u² + 2as

Here,

v is the final velocity

u is the initial velocity

a is the acceleration

s is the displacement or Distance

t is the time taken

Question

A crow flies 100m east in 5 minutes . what is the crow's Velocity ?

Solution

What is given ?

  • Displacement (D) = 100
  • Time ( T ) = 5 Min

What we have to find ?

  • We have to Find here the velocity of the crow .

How to find it ?

  • we can find it by only the putting the formula of velocity before that lets 1st of all change the unit
  • 1 min = 60 S
  • 5×60 = 300 S

Now let's find the velocity

Formula to be used :- v=D/t

putting the values ,

v = 100 / 300

=> v= 1/3

=> v = 0.33 M/S

Hence , the velocity of the crow is 0.33 m/s
