A crystal of iodine on slow heating in a closed flask turns into vapours and fills the complete flask . Why ?​

Answer:

The iodine crystals get converted into gaseous state from solid state when they are heated. Gases have a property to fill a container completely, So the iodine vapour fills the container completel. The iodine crystals evaporate when you heat them.So the iodine vapours formed fill completely the vessel.
