Correct Question

A cube has a volume of 8 cubic meters. if each side is doubled in length.What will its new volume be in cubic meters ?

Find out

What will its new volume be in cubic meters ?

Solution

➨ Volume of cube = 2m³

➨ a³ = 8

➨ a = 2 m

Hence, length of cube is 2m

Now, if each side is doubled in length then,

New length = 2 × 2 = 4m

So, New volume of cube

➨ 4 × 4 × 4

➨ 64m³

Hence, new volume of cube is 64m³

Answer:

volume = x^3 = 2cm^3

if each side is doubled = 2x*2x*2x = 8x^3

therefore

volume = 8(2) = 16cm^3

hope this helps
