The cube will sink because weight of cube is greater than buoyant force.

Explanation:

=> It is given that,

Mass of a cube = 0.65 kg

length of a side, l = 8.5

=> Volume of cube, V:

V = l³

= (8.5)³

= 614 cm³

= 614 * 10⁻⁶ m³

=> Weight of cube, Wc :

Wc = mass * gravity

= 0.65 kg * 9.8 m/s²

= 6.37 N

=> Buoyant force on cube when it is fully immersed in water, Fb:

Fb = ρ * V * g

= 10³ kg/m³ * 614 * 10⁻⁶ m³ * 9.8 m/s²

= 6 N

Here, weight of cube is greater than buoyant force.

Thus, the cube will sink.
