a cube of 9cm edge is immersed in a rectangular vessel containing water. if the dimension of the base are 15cm and12cm ,find the rise in water level in the vessel?

Side of Cube = 9 cm
So, Volume of Cube = (9³)
                                 = 729 cm³

Let height of water level be h

So, Volume of Water = 15*12*h
                     

So, 15h*12 = 729
        h = 729/15*12
        h = 4.05 cm

Hence, rise in water level is 4.05 cm
