A cube of each side 5 cm is placed inside a liquid. The pressure at the centre of one face of cube is 10 Pa. Calculate the thrust exerted by the liquid on this face.

Given, pressure P=10Pa,

Area of face A=5cm×5cm=5100m×5100m

=25×10−4m2

The thrust exerted by the liquid on the face.

F=P×A=10Pa×(25×10−4)m2=2.5×10−
