A cube of edge 8 cm is immersed completely in a vessel containing water. If the dimensions of the vessel 30
cm x 24 cm x 20 cm, find the rise of water level in the vessel.

The volume of the rectangular is = l * b * height, here is the working :

20 * 10 * height = 512 (equal to the displaced water), or

height = 512 / 200 = 2.56 centimeters

The rise of water level in the rectangular vessel is : 2.56 centimeters. is the answer.
