Answer:

We have,

\sf{Edges\:of\:the\:given\:cube=9cm}

\sf{Volume\:of\:the\:cube=(9^3)\:cm^3\:=729\:cm^3}

If the cube is immersed in the vessel, then the water level rises.

\sf{Let\:the\:water\:rise\:level\:be\:x\:cm.}

Clearly,

\Rightarrow volume of the cube = Volume of the water displaced by it.

= Volume of the cube = Volume of a cuboid of dimensions 15 cm × 12 cm × x cm.

= 729 = 15×12×x

x = \sf\frac{729}{15×12}cm

x = \cancel\dfrac{81}{20}cm

•°• x = 4.05 cm.
