as we know that when anything is melted it's volume remains constant, now volume of original cube=(6)^3
when it is melted into 27 cubes assuming
volume dispersion is uniform
volume of one new cube=(6)^3/27=216/27
now volume of cube=edge^3
edge=
![\sqrt[3]{216 \div 27} \sqrt[3]{216 \div 27}](https://tex.z-dn.net/?f=+%5Csqrt%5B3%5D%7B216+%5Cdiv+27%7D+)
hence new edge of smaller cube=2
