We know when an object is transformed to another object(s) then volume of both object(s) is equal.
Here a cube of 6 cm edge is melted to form 27 small cubes
Let the edge of new cubes be x each
∴ Volume of Cube which was melted = Volume of newly formed 27 cubes
We know that volume of cube = side³
∴ 6³ = 27 × x³
27 x³ = 216
x³ = 216/27
x³ = 8
x = 2
∴ Edge of each new cube is 2 cm
