Given

  • side of cube = 0.2 metre
  • Weight = 50 N

To find

  • pressure exerted by the cube on the floor.

Concept used

Here the concept of Pressure is used . The side and the weight of cube is given. First we will find the area then will simply put the value in pressure formula to get the required answer.

Solution

 \bold{ \red{Area = a²}}

 \sf{ \implies area= (0.2)²}\\ \\ \sf{ \implies area = 0.04m²}

Formula of pressure is given as :-

\bold{ \pink {Pressure= \frac{weight}{Area}}}

 \sf{ \implies Pressure= \frac{50}{0.04} }\\ \\  \sf{ \implies \green{Pressure = 1250 N/m²}}

Therefore the pressure is 1250 N/m²
