Answer :

  • The ratio of densities of two liquids is 1 : 2

Given :

  • A cube of side 4cm is just completely immersed I liquid A. When it is put in liquid B , it floats with 2cm outside the liquid

To find :

  • Calculate the ratio of densities of two liquids

Solution :

Given

  • A cube of side 4cm is just completely immersed I liquid A.
  • When it is put in liquid B
  • It floats with 2cm outside the liquid so,

  • Mass of cube = Mass of liquids

As we know that,

  • m = pA/pB

where,

  • pA is 2cm
  • pB is 4cm

Which is liquid A and Liquid B

⤍ M = pA/pB

⤍ 2/4

⤍ 1 : 2

Hence , The ratio of densities of two liquids is 1 : 2
