Given : A cube of side length 2x is given where x represents a positive whole number.

To Find  : Value of x such that 6 times the area of one of cube faces is equal to volume of the cube.

Solution:

cube of side length 2x

Area of one face = (2x)²  = 4x²

Volume  of cube = (2x)³  = 8x³

6 times the area of one of cube faces is equal to volume of the cube.

=>  8x³ = 6(4x²)

=> 8x³ =24x²

=> 8x = 24

=> x = 3

Value of x = 3
