Given :

A cube shaped box has a side of 5cm

To find :

how many such boxes can be placed in a big square carton of side 5m

Solution:

Side of big square carton = 5m

1 m = 100 cm

So,Side of big square carton = 500 cm

Volume of big carton = Side^3 = 500^3 = 25000000 cm^3

Side of small box = 5 cm

Volume of box =5^3 = 125 cm^3

No. of boxes can be placed in a big square carton of side 5m = \frac{25000000}{125}=200000

Hence 200000  boxes can be placed in a big square carton of side 5m
