Volume of new cube = vol of cube of side 5 + vol of cube of side 1cm

Let new cube side = a
ATQ
a^3 = 5^3 + 1^3

a^3 = 125 + 1

a^3 = 126

a=  \sqrt[3]{126}

Hey mate !!

Here's your answer !!

Given that two small cubes are mixed to form a big cube.

To find : The edge of the big cube

Proof : We know that the volume of any two solids when added is equal to the volume of the big solid. Hence we can say that,

Volume of two small cubes = Volume of big cube

Volume of Cube 1 = a³

Here a is the edge of the cube

So volume = 5³ = 125 cm³

Volume of  Cube 2 = a³ = 1³ =1

So total volume of both the cubes = 125 + 1 = 126 cm³

Volume of big cube = 126 cm³

A³ = 126 cm³  ( Here A is the edge of big cube )

Taking cube root on both sides, we get

A = ∛ 126  cm

Hence the measure of edge of bigger cube is ∛ 126 cm

Hope this helps !!

Cheers !!
