Hi ,

Let a , d are side and diagonal of a

cube ,

d = 9√3 ( given )

√3a = d

√3 a = 9√3

a = 9√3/√3

a = 9 units

Total surface area = 6a²

TSA = 6 × 9²

= 6 × 81

= 486 sq units

I hope this helps you.

: )

suzuya: can we use Pythagorean theorum for this?
mysticd: diagonal of a cubiod ( d ) = √( l² + b² + c²)
mysticd: here in a cube l = b = h = a
mysticd: d = √ ( a² + a² + a² )
mysticd: d = √3a² = √3 × a
suzuya: thank you ..that ll really help
mysticd: yes , we use Phythagoruas Theorem
