Find the total surface area of the cubical.
cube has six equal faces ...find area of one face and multiply by six.
length = 30cm = 0.3m
area of 1 face = 0.3mx0.3m=0.09m^2
total surface area(x6)=0.09mx6= 0.54m^2
Since the painting will be both inside and outside, multiply by 2(since both areas are equal.
0.54m^2 x 2 = 1.08 m sq. (this area includes that of the lid)
if painting 1 m sq = rupees 2
then 1.08 will be = rupees 2 x 1.08
= Rs. 2.16
