we know that ....
total S.A of a cube
=6× side^2
if box is closed then.
inside S.A = outside S.A
given.........
side = 30cm = 0.3 m
total S.A to be pented
= 2× 6× side^2
= 12 × (0.3)^2
=1.08 m^2
now.....
cost of panting
= 1.08 × 5.50
=5.94 rupees..

 \textbf {Hey there, here is the solution.}

.............................................................................................

Find the number of faces to paint:

A cube has 6 faces

To paint the inside and outside, we have 6 x 2 = 12 faces

.

Convert the cm to m:

30 cm = 30 ÷ 100 = 0.3 m

.

Find the area of 1 face:

Area = Length x Length

Area = 0.3 x 0.3 = 0.09 m²

.

Find the area of 12 faces:

1 face = 0.09 m²

12 faces = 0.09 x 12 = 1.08 m²

,

Find the cost of painting:

1 m² = Rs 5.50

1.08 m² = 5.5 x 1.08 = Rs 5.94

.

Answer; It will cost Rs 5.94 to paint the box

.............................................................................................

 \textbf {Cheers }
