As the given side of cubical container is I.

  • Let the V be the volume the water in container.
  • According to the statement the spilled water V=I³×1/2
  • The surface dip height be h
  • The volume of spilled liquid = area of triangle×side of cube
  • That is \frac{1}2}×h×I²
  • \frac{1}{2}×I³=\frac{1}{2}×h×I²
  • On solving we get I=h
  • The angle made by surface with horizontal be Ф
  • That tanФ=a/g
  • h/I=a/g
  • Using above relation we get g=a
  • That is the answer
