FORMULA TO BE IMPLEMENTED

Total surface area of a cube of side a unit is

= 6a² sq.unit

EVALUATION

Here it is given that the cubical container of dimensions 2 m × 2 m × 2 m is to be made using a sheet of metal

So side of the cube = 2 m

So total surface area of the cube

 \sf{ = 6 {a}^{2} \:  \:  {m}^{2}  }

 \sf{ = 6  \times {2}^{2} \:  \:  {m}^{2}  }

 \sf{ = 6  \times 4 \:  \:  {m}^{2}  }

 \sf{ = 2 4 \:  \:  {m}^{2}  }

Now the metal sheet costs $ 24 per m²

So the required total cost

= $ ( 24 × 24 )
