\sf \large Solution!

It is given that the side of a cubical containers 3 m and the force applied by it on the truck is 5400 N. We are asked to find the pressure which the container exerts on the truck. Clearly, this is a physics numerical which we are going to solve using the relationship between pressure, force and area.

Force (F) = 5400 N

The side of the cubical container is given, so we have to find the area of the container.

Area of cube = 6 × (Side)²

= 6 × (3 m)²

= 6 × 9 m²

Area of cube = 54 m²

Area (A) = 54 m²

Pressure (P) = Force (F) ÷ Area (A)

P = 5400 N ÷ 54 m²

Pressure = 100 N/m² or 100 Pa

The pressure exerted by a cubical container of side 3 m which applies a force of 5400 N on the truck exerts a pressure of 100 N/m² or 100 Pa on the truck.

Note:- The SI unit of pressure is Pascal (Pa) and 1 Pa equals 1 N/m².
