A cubical storage container of volume 1.331 m3 is completely filled with milk. After distributing some amount of milk to students as part of the mid-day meal scheme, the depth of milk remaining in the container is 0.5m. Find the volume of milk distributed.​

Answer:

Volume of milk already used from the container = 0.726m^3

Step-by-step explanation:

Volume of cube = 1.331 m^3

⇒ a^3 = 1.331 m^3

⇒ (a)^3 = (1.1) m^3

Since the powers are same , equating the bases

⇒ a = 1.1m                

Height of Cube = Total depth of milk it can hold

Therefore , Total depth = 1.1 m

Depth of milk remaining in the container = 0.5m

Depth of milk already used from the container = 1.1m - 0.5m = 0.6m

Volume of milk already used from the container = lbh = 1.1*0.6*1.1 = 0.726m^3
